FAQ
Common questions, organized by topic. If your question is not answered here, see Support.
Accounts and workspace
Do candidates need an account? No. Candidates receive a private link by email and open it directly. No sign-up is required.
Who becomes the admin? The first person to sign up from a company's email domain becomes that workspace's admin. Everyone else joins as a recruiter. See Create your account.
Can I invite my team? Yes. Admins can invite teammates from the Workspace page. See Workspace and team.
What is the difference between admin and recruiter? Admins own the workspace: members, billing, settings, and every assessment. Recruiters run their own hiring pipeline and only see their own data. See Roles and permissions.
Can a recruiter be promoted to admin? Yes. An admin can promote any recruiter to admin from the Workspace page. The change takes effect on the user's next sign-in.
Can I transfer admin to another member? Yes. Any admin can transfer admin to another member. The transfer dialog notes that only one admin can exist at a time.
What happens if I am the last admin and want to leave? You must transfer admin to another member first. The platform refuses to leave a workspace without an admin.
Assessments
How many problems can I add? Up to five per assessment.
How many candidates? Up to 500 per assessment.
Can I edit an assessment after launching it?
No. Once it is paid and ACTIVE it is locked. Cancel it and create a new one if
you need changes. See Manage and lifecycle.
What are smart variations? AI-generated, equivalent but different versions of a problem. Each is created manually per problem and shared across your company, not generated uniquely per candidate. See Problems.
Can I save an assessment as a template? Yes. From the assessment detail or list, click Save as template. Templates are versioned and can be shared company-wide. See Templates.
Can I share an assessment with a specific teammate? Yes. Open the assessment, click Share, and grant VIEW or EDIT. The recipient sees only that assessment, not the rest of your hiring pipeline. See Sharing and collaboration.
What is the All / My scope toggle? A scope toggle on the assessment list, available to admins. All shows every assessment in the workspace; My shows only assessments you own.
What is the assessment lifecycle?
The states are DRAFT, AWAITING_PAYMENT, PAYMENT_EXPIRED, ACTIVE,
COMPLETED, and CANCELLED. See the lifecycle in
Manage and lifecycle.
Candidates
How do candidates get the link? They are emailed a unique private link when you send invitations. See Invite candidates.
What if a candidate loses their link? Send them a reminder from the candidate list. The reminder re-sends their private link.
What happens when time runs out? The test auto-submits with the candidate's latest code. The candidate cannot extend their time by changing the browser.
What does the candidate see? A briefing, a camera calibration, the problem-solving editor with a live timer, and an auto-submit at expiry. See Candidate experience.
Can a candidate retake an assessment? A retake is a new attempt. Create a new assessment for the candidate, or contact support for a manual retake on the same assessment.
Can I remove a candidate? You can remove a candidate from an assessment before they start. After they submit, their results are kept for review.
Payments
How am I charged? Per candidate, at launch. You can pay from a wallet or a payment gateway. See Checkout.
Which gateway is used? It is chosen automatically by region and currency. Razorpay in India, Stripe elsewhere. See Checkout.
What is a wallet? A pre-funded pool of credits. The wallet is deducted automatically when you launch an assessment. See Wallet.
Can I get a refund? Refunds, where applicable, appear in the ledger as released holds. The gateway handles the refund on its own schedule. See Billing and invoices.
Where can I see what I have spent? The Payments page shows the workspace ledger, your current balance, and a per-recruiter spend table (admins only). See Wallet.
Screening
When are results ready? Shortly after the candidate submits and the analysis completes. You get an in-app notification. See Notifications.
What is in the integrity report? Integrity signals (paste, focus, AI assist) and quality scores (correctness, efficiency, style), plus a hire recommendation. See Integrity report.
Can I watch what happened? Yes. The Video and code replay lets you scrub the timeline with video, code, and events synced. See Video and code replay.
Does the AI make the hiring decision? No. The AI assists. You record the final screening verdict. The recommendation and the verdict are stored separately so the audit trail is honest. See Verdicts.
What is the Role Bar? The versioned, scoped policy that maps CETS recommendations to verdicts. The bar is the authoritative answer to "what is good enough?". See Role Bar and policy.
Can the bar auto-reject on a fraud signal? No. The bar may never reject on LLM-assisted, bulk paste, transcription, phone detected, tab switch, or multiple faces. The platform enforces this. See Role Bar and policy.
What is the Decision Room? A single page that aggregates every attempt and every piece of evidence for a candidate, with the limits of what the assessment can tell you. See Decision Room.
What is the Handoff Pack? A focused interview brief for the next round: the decision so far, the evidence, the limits, and the questions worth asking. See Handoff Pack.
Security
Is the session recorded? Yes, when video proctoring is enabled. The recording is the ground truth for any flagged moment. See How proctoring works.
Can a candidate see other candidates' data? No. Candidates see only their own invitation, briefing, and submission.
What is the retention policy? See Data and privacy for the full table and the contact for your workspace's configured window.
Troubleshooting
My assessment is stuck on Awaiting payment. Payment confirmation can occasionally lag. Wait a moment. If it persists, contact support with the assessment name and company. The Draft badge turns into Active once the payment is confirmed.
A candidate says the link does not work. Confirm the assessment is Active and resend a reminder. The link is tied to that candidate, so it must be used by the intended recipient.
My assessment is not showing up in the list. Drafts, awaiting-payment, and payment-expired assessments are hidden from the main list. They are kept in the Drafts dialog. Admins also have the All / My scope toggle — check that it is on My or All as you expect.
A candidate's results are missing. Results appear once analysis is complete. Use the candidate's detail page to trigger analysis if it has not started, and then poll until it completes.
The bulk bar disappeared. Selection is scoped to the current view of the list. Changing a filter or page implicitly starts a fresh selection.
A flag looks wrong. Judge signals in context. The synced timeline shows the video and the code at the exact moment, so you can verify the context yourself. A flag is a lead, not a verdict.
