Sharing and collaboration
Grant VIEW or EDIT access to a specific user on a specific assessment, without changing workspace roles.
Sharing and collaboration
Most assessments are owned by a single recruiter. Sometimes, though, you want a specific teammate to see a specific assessment — for a second opinion on a candidate, a joint hiring round, or a delegated review. Sharing does this without making them a co-owner of your hiring pipeline.
How sharing works
An assessment can be shared with one or more individual users. The recipient gains the chosen permission for that assessment only; it does not grant access to any of your other assessments, candidates, or notes.
| Permission | What the recipient can do |
|---|---|
| VIEW | Open the assessment detail and candidate results. Read-only. |
| EDIT | Open the assessment detail and candidate results, and edit the assessment as if they were the owner. They still cannot transfer ownership or change sharing. |
| OWN | Implicit. The assessment creator and any workspace admin have OWN. OWN can share and delete. |
Sharing is per-assessment, not per-workspace. Removing a share takes effect on the recipient's next request.
Granting access
- Open the assessment.
- Click Share in the header.
- Enter the teammate's email or user id, choose VIEW or EDIT, and confirm.
- The recipient now sees the assessment in their list under the assessment detail (and in the All scope for admins).
The recipient's access is recomputed on every page load: the rules apply consistently, so what the UI offers is exactly what the platform will accept.
Revoking access
Open the assessment, click Share, and remove the recipient. Revocation is immediate.
What is not shared
- The recipient's billing, workspace membership, or other assessments are unaffected.
- The recipient cannot reassign or remove the OWN permission.
- The recipient does not see your notes, shortlists, or screening verdicts on candidates outside the shared assessment.
Common patterns
| Pattern | Recommended permission |
|---|---|
| "Take a look at this candidate" | VIEW |
| "Run this screen jointly with me" | EDIT |
| "Cover for me while I am on leave" | EDIT |
| "Audit my work this quarter" | VIEW |
For company-wide reuse, use a Template instead. Sharing is the right tool when only one or two specific users need access to a single assessment.
