Templates
A template is a reusable blueprint for an assessment: a saved configuration, problem set, schedule window defaults, and email wording. Templates keep your team's screens consistent and let a recruiter launch a new screen in seconds.
Templates are not assessments
A template holds configuration and problem metadata. It does not hold candidates, results, payments, or screening verdicts. Instantiating a template creates a fresh assessment with a new id, candidates, and lifecycle.
What is in a template
| Field | Stored |
|---|---|
| Name and description | Yes |
| Role title, duration, languages | Yes |
| Schedule defaults (window length, start buffer) | Yes |
| Email subject, body, sender name | Yes |
| CRM ID default | Yes |
| Timezone | Yes |
| Problem set (slugs, order, difficulty) | Yes |
| Sharing scope (private or company) | Yes |
| Version number | Yes (incremented on edit) |
What is not stored: candidate emails, payment method, status, results, and notes.
The template lifecycle
Each edit produces a new version. Earlier versions are kept: a template's past configuration is preserved so an existing assessment can be traced back to the template version it was created from.
How templates are organized
Templates are filtered into three tabs on the Templates page:
| Tab | What you see |
|---|---|
| All | Every template in your workspace (admins only) |
| Mine | Templates you created |
| Shared | Templates explicitly shared company-wide |
You can view both card and table layouts, search by name, and sort by name, duration, problem count, or last-updated date.
