Templates
Sharing templates
Make a template private to you or shared with the whole workspace, and what changes when you share.
Sharing templates
A template can be private (only you can see and use it) or shared (every member of the workspace can see and use it). Sharing is a single switch.
Sharing a template
- Open the template.
- Click Edit (or use the Make shared toggle in the menu).
- Flip the Make shared switch on.
- Confirm. The template now appears in the Shared tab for every workspace member, in addition to the Mine tab for you.
To unshare, flip the switch off. Existing assessments instantiated from the template are unaffected.
What sharing grants
| Capability | Recipient |
|---|---|
| See the template in Shared | Yes |
| Use the template to launch an assessment | Yes |
| Edit the template | No (creator and admins only) |
| Delete the template | No (creator and admins only) |
| Re-share the template | No |
Sharing a template does not share the assessments instantiated from it. Each assessment has its own access control; see Sharing assessments.
Choosing between sharing and assessment-level sharing
| Need | Use |
|---|---|
| Everyone in the company should use this configuration | Share the template |
| One specific teammate needs to see one specific assessment | Share the assessment with VIEW or EDIT |
| One specific teammate should run a screen with me | Share the assessment with EDIT |
