Workspace and team
Invite teammates, assign admin or recruiter roles, and the safeguards that keep a workspace safe.
Workspace and team
A workspace is your company's shared space in QualifyCode. Everyone who signs up with your company's email domain belongs to the same workspace and shares assessments, candidates, and results according to their role.
Inviting a teammate
- Open Workspace in the sidebar (admins only).
- Click Invite, enter the teammate's email, and send the invite.
- When they sign up with that email, they join your workspace automatically as a recruiter. The invite dialog states this explicitly: they join as a recruiter and you can change their role later.
Roles at a glance
| Capability | Admin | Recruiter |
|---|---|---|
| Create, edit, delete any assessment | Yes | Own only |
| View all candidates and results | Yes | Own only |
| Invite or remove members | Yes | No |
| Change member roles | Yes | No |
| Transfer admin | Yes | No |
| Billing and settings | Yes | No |
Recruiters only ever see their own assessments and candidates. Admins can switch the assessment list between All (company wide) and My (own only) using the scope toggle.
Changing someone's role
Admins can promote a recruiter to admin, or demote an admin to recruiter, from the member list. The change takes effect the next time that person signs in.
Transferring admin
If you need to hand over administration, any admin can transfer the admin role to another member. The transfer dialog notes that only one admin can exist at a time, and transferring makes you a recruiter.
There must always be at least one admin
QualifyCode prevents actions that would leave a workspace with no admin:
- You cannot demote or remove the last remaining admin.
- You cannot delete your own account while you are the last admin and other members remain. Transfer admin first.
Removing a member
Admins can remove a teammate from the workspace at any time, as long as they are not the last admin. Removed members lose access immediately.
Deleting your account
From Settings (admin only), you can delete your own account. If you are the last admin, the dialog tells you to transfer admin to another member first. The backend enforces this even if the dialog were bypassed.
