Getting Started
Your first assessment
A guided five-minute walkthrough of the dashboard, from naming an assessment to sending the first invitation.
Your first assessment
This page walks you through the dashboard from the moment you sign in to sending the first invitation. If you prefer to learn by clicking, follow the steps; if you prefer to read first, see Create an assessment for the full reference.
1. The dashboard at a glance
After signing in, you land on the Dashboard. It shows a pipeline funnel of your assessments (Draft, Awaiting Payment, Active, Completed, Cancelled), recent activity, recommendation and integrity distribution charts, and an at-a-glance view of your most used problems and roles.
The sidebar gives you access to the main sections:
| Section | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | The overview above |
| Assessments | Your screening pipeline, with the All / My scope toggle for admins |
| Templates | Reusable assessment blueprints |
| Screening | The candidate verdict queue |
| Shortlists | Curated candidate collections |
| Analytics | Screening analytics, problems and roles intel |
| Payments | Wallet, ledger, and billing |
| Workspace | Team management (admin only) |
| Settings | Account, organization, danger zone (admin only) |
2. Start a new assessment
- In the sidebar, click Assessments.
- Click New assessment. The five-step wizard opens on Configuration.
- Fill in the Assessment name (required), Role title (required), Duration in minutes (default 45, range 15 to 300), and pick at least one programming language.
- Click Next to reach Problems.
3. Pick the problems
- In the search box, type a keyword (e.g.
dynamic programming). - Use the difficulty and concept filters to narrow the list.
- Select up to five problems. Each one shows a numbered badge in the order you chose it.
- Optional: open a problem and click Variation to generate an AI rewrite. Add it to the assessment with Use This.
- Click Next to reach Candidates.
4. Add candidates
- Type or paste candidate email addresses. Bulk import accepts newlines, commas, semicolons, or tabs as separators.
- Review the validation result. Duplicates and invalid addresses are rejected and listed separately so you can correct them.
- The list is capped at 500 candidates per assessment.
- Click Next to reach Payment.
5. Pay for the assessment
- The estimate shows the total cost (per candidate, regional pricing).
- Choose how to pay:
- Wallet, if it covers the seats.
- Pay by card, if you prefer not to use credits.
- A mix, where wallet credits cover part of the cost and the remainder is charged.
- The available gateway is selected automatically for your region. No setup needed.
- Click Submit for payment. The assessment moves to Awaiting payment.
When the payment is captured, the assessment becomes Active.
6. Send invitations
- Click Next to reach Send Invites.
- Review the subject, body, and sender name. Edit any field if you want a
different tone. You can use variables like
{candidate_name}and{assessment_link}. - Click Send invitations. Each candidate receives an email with a unique private link to the candidate app.
7. Track and review
- Assessments → your assessment → Candidates shows who has been invited, started, and submitted. Send reminders to anyone who has not started.
- When a candidate submits, their report appears under Results. You receive an in-app notification.
- Open the candidate's report, watch the video, replay the code, then record a screening verdict on the Screening console.
