Checkout

Pay for an assessment at launch using your wallet or a payment gateway, and what happens on expiry or cancellation.

Checkout

When you submit an assessment for payment, the platform creates a checkout based on the number of candidates. You can pay from your wallet if it has enough credits, or directly with a payment gateway.

Cost

The amount is the number of candidates multiplied by the per candidate price. The wizard shows an estimate before you pay and applies wallet credits automatically where possible.

Choosing how to pay

At checkout you can:

  • Pay from your wallet if it covers the seats.
  • Pay the full amount by card if you prefer not to use credits.
  • Use a mix, where credits cover part and the remainder is charged to a gateway.

Gateway selection

The available gateway is chosen by your region, derived from the assessment timezone:

RegionGateways shown
India (IN)Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking) and Stripe (international cards)
All other regionsStripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay)

PayPal is also supported in the checkout flow. You do not pick a gateway manually; the platform selects the right one so candidates and recruiters get a familiar, localized payment experience.

Activation

After payment succeeds, the assessment becomes Active and you can send invitations. Activation is confirmed by a server sent event stream during submit, with a poll fallback if the stream is interrupted.

Expiry and refunds

  • If you do not complete checkout in time, the session expires and the assessment returns to a state you can delete or re submit.
  • If you cancel an assessment after payment, a refund may be applied according to your billing terms, represented in the wallet ledger as a released hold.

Troubleshooting

If a payment webhook is delayed and your assessment does not activate, it usually resolves within a few moments. If it stays in the Draft awaiting payment state for long, contact support with the assessment name and your company.
